Surrey Physio was established in March 2000, providing you with a team of highly
skilled clinicians specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injury,
spinal and joint pain. Situated within Sutton Junior Tennis Centre our UK based clinic
has fully equiped treatment rooms and a pilates rehabilitation studio. Sports
physiotherapy treatment combines manipulative physiotherapy, exercise based rehab
programmes, soft tissue work, acupuncture and advice to produce the best clinical
results and patient satisfaction. Our treatments include: sports physiotherapy;
manipulative physiotherapy; gait analysis; clinical pilates; exercise rehabilitation;
acupuncture; sports and therapeutic massage; reflexology; and chiropody and podiatry.
Manipulative Physiotherapy involves the precise assessment of musculoskeletal
ailments. Careful history taking, during the subjective examination should allow
the therapist to organise their thoughts and ideas ("working hypothesis"). This
rigorous process should allow the therapist to optimise the physical examination.
With Surrey Physio being based within a sports centre, we strongly appreciate
the importance of general fitness and wellbeing in today's society. The need for
good sports physiotherapy is instrumental to the need for the swift treatment
and rehabilitation of sports injuries, so as to ensure that no further issues
occur. Our sports physiotherapy service also offers gait analysis. This enables
us to measure and analyse the body's bio mechanics. Our physiotherapists are able
to video your movements, enabling you to view these motions at a later point.
We are then able to enhance your walking and running movements from the feedback
attained. Our practice has six clinicians, four of which physiotherapists of differing
disciplines. For example, there is Alexandra Hall, who specialises in manipulative
physiotherapy, and Ian Prangley, a tennis coach, who specialises in sports physiotherapy.
